“Karibu Ahava Secondary School—mahali ambapo elimu haijengwi kwa ajili ya mitihani pekee, bali kwa ajili ya kumwandaa mtoto kuwa mtu mwenye maarifa, maadili, uwezo na dira ya maisha.”

2. HISTORIA

“Safari ya Ahava haikuanza kwa kujenga majengo pekee. Ilianza na wazo—wazo la kuwa na taasisi ambayo ingeweza kutoa elimu yenye viwango, malezi yenye misingi na mazingira yanayomsaidia mtoto kufikia uwezo wake.”

“Tangu mwanzo, tumekuwa tukijenga shule kwa hatua, tukijifunza, tukiboresha na kuweka mbele jambo moja muhimu: ubora wa mwanafunzi.”

3. FILOSOFIA YA ELIMU

“Mzazi anapomleta mtoto Ahava, hatuletewi mtoto tu; anakabidhi kwetu sehemu ya ndoto zake.”

“Tunafahamu kwamba kila mzazi anatamani kumuona mtoto wake akifanikiwa. Ndiyo maana tunajenga mazingira ambayo yanampa mwanafunzi nafasi ya kujifunza, kuuliza, kugundua, kujaribu na kukua.”

“Ahava tunataka iwe zaidi ya shule ambayo mtoto anasoma. Tunataka iwe sehemu ambayo mtoto anagundua yeye ni nani, anaweza kufanya nini, na anaelekea wapi.”

5. MATOKEO NA MAFANIKIO

“Matokeo tunayoyapata hayaji kwa bahati. Nyuma ya kila mafanikio kuna walimu wanaojitoa, wanafunzi wanaofanya kazi kwa bidii, wazazi wanaoshirikiana nasi na mfumo unaoweka ubora mbele.”

6. WALIMU

“Tunajua kwamba ubora wa shule unaanzia kwa ubora wa walimu wake.”

“Ndiyo maana tunathamini walimu wetu na tunawapa mazingira yanayowawezesha kufanya kazi yao kwa ufanisi.”

“Tunataka mwalimu wa Ahava asiwe mtu anayefundisha somo pekee, bali awe mlezi, mshauri na mfano wa kuigwa kwa mwanafunzi.”

7. WANAFUNZI NA MAISHA YA SHULE

“Mwanafunzi hawezi kujifunza vizuri kama mazingira yake hayamruhusu kujisikia salama, kuthaminiwa na kupewa nafasi ya kukua.”

“Ndiyo maana maisha ya Ahava yanahusisha zaidi ya darasani. Tunawapa wanafunzi nafasi ya kushiriki katika michezo, ubunifu, teknolojia, uongozi, shughuli za kijamii na vipaji mbalimbali.”

“Tunataka kila mwanafunzi aweze kusema: ‘Hapa nimejifunza, hapa nimekua, na hapa nimegundua uwezo wangu.’”

8. MAADILI NA NIDHAMU

“Maarifa bila maadili yanaweza kuwa na nguvu, lakini hayana mwelekeo.”

“Tunawafundisha wanafunzi wetu kwamba mafanikio ya kweli hayapimwi kwa alama pekee. Yanapimwa pia kwa uaminifu, heshima, uwajibikaji, nidhamu na namna tunavyowatendea wengine.”

“Tunataka kumtoa Ahava mwanafunzi ambaye si bora darasani pekee, bali ni mtu bora katika jamii.”

9. MAONO YA BAADAYE

“Tunapoitazama Ahava ya leo, tunaiona Ahava ya miaka mingi ijayo.”

“Maono yetu ni kuijenga Ahava kuwa taasisi inayotambulika kwa ubora wa elimu, ubunifu, teknolojia, maadili na maendeleo ya mwanafunzi.”

“Hatuna nia ya kuwa shule kubwa kwa majengo pekee. Tunataka kuwa shule kubwa kwa mchango na matokeo chanya tunayoyaacha katika jamii—idadi ya maisha tunayobadilisha, wanafunzi tunaowaandaa na mchango wanaoutoa katika jamii na taifa.”

10. UJUMBE KWA MZAZI

“Kwa mzazi anayefikiria hatua inayofuata ya elimu ya mtoto wake, tungependa kusema jambo moja: uchaguzi wa shule si uchaguzi wa mahali mtoto atasoma pekee. Ni uchaguzi wa mazingira ambayo yatamsaidia mtoto kuwa mtu gani kesho.”
